It is chilly and wet, the temperatures have dropped. The weather has changed even in the Southeastern part of the United States. Christmas has come and gone and Winter reigns. The earth sleeps. Flowers faded with the Fall and everything lingers in a state of slumber.
The earth slumbers and sleeps, awaiting the fresh breath of Springs fair winds. The sun will shine again, the temperatures, will rise and once again, the buds will spring forth into new life. This is how the patterns were created since the beginning of all things. The cycles are Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
This is the same cycle of the human condition. We spring forth from the womb as the opening bud of a flower. Pass through the Summer of our adolescence and early life only to begin to fade in to the Fall of life and eventually pass into the Winter of old age and eventually return to the earth from whence we came. Thus is the cycle of life complete.
