The Testament of Time

The darkness falls, the wind blows softly and I am one with the heaven and earth. I take your hand and we fill the night with our mirth.
Time stands still, while we romp and play; knowing tomorrow is another day. our troubles will return again, but that is far, far, away.
We build a fire to chase away the chill, snuggle close to see and feel the closeness of each others breath and the comfort that we find in each others song and rhyme. We laugh and sing, we share the ring of the sound that through the dales and hills abound, knowing this moment may never come to us again..
Our time together is special still, though we've grown together through months and years, each moment a testament to love and perseverance.. But love is more than eroding time, it is a light of life that always shines through the everlasting years as we play, our time away..
When we are grown both old and grey and our sweet youth has faded away, we will be closer still than we are today. Soon our days will drift away and as we both return to clay; the darkness will again arise between us longer to stay.
But through it all, both great and small we realize that after all, we're only in, a transitory state. The darkness will come again, the wind will whisper over and over the words I can no longer say....Rest with  me through time forever, as we rest two as one together, for you may never hear me say once more... "I Love You."

  1. This writing is so intense and moving......it almost brought tears to my eyes......I can't help but think of the one I love.......and know that eventually we will have to say our last goodbye and I love you. We will always be united as one though.
