No one knows the pain of a stone, cept those who have felt the sting.
The sharp, cutting edge that creases the brow and makes the ears to ring.
They say sticks and stones may break the bones, but more than that my
friend; they can leave everlasting marks, where the cutting stone has been.
I’ve felt the pain of the broken crown, felt the pain of the heart.
But the stone that crushed my spirit and soul, was the one that you threw…

ReplyDeleteI have felt the same pain from those "friendly stones" too. They leave everlasting scars. Too bad people don't think how bad the stones will hurt before they cast them.
