Life In The Georgia Pines

The day was hot, almost 90 degrees.
The night is crisp, cool but no breeze.
A beautiful sky can be seen through the trees.
It's life in the Georgia pines.

The temperature varies from day to day.
Nothing ever seems to stay the same.
Everyday there seems to be a change.
It's life in the Georgia pines.

Here we have no where special to go.
Living slips by with an ebb and flow.
Everyone moves along a little slow.
That's life in the Georgia pines.

No reason to hurry, no reason to care.
We know everyone or we've already been there.
Time can slip by at the pace of a snail,
It's a place where everyone has a tall tale.
That's life in the Georgia pines.

I'm not from here originally.
I used to live in Tennessee.
Course that's not the only place I've ever seen.
For me now, it's life in the Georgia pines.

  1. Makes a person want to live life in the Georgia pines! Very descriptive metaphors! Puts 'Georgia on My Mind for Sure'!
