Through a child's eyes

We sat upon the grass, by a clear cold mountain stream. The snow was on the mountain tops towering and supreme. We watched the trout swim with the current; up and down they would go. Every detail of what transpired on that day, mesmerized her little soul. She pondered, she thought, she explained life away. Seemed to understand the in and outs of each and every day. I never knew a little child had so much to say. As we sat upon the bank that day, I listen and I learned.
Wisdom from a child's eyes, there was much I did discern.

  1. Though that little girl is a bit older ........she is still very mesmerized with life......thanks for the time Papa took to listen.

  2. It's true, there is so much that can be learned when looking at life through a child's' eyes. Very touching poem.
