Time and chance

Time is eternal. Forever stretching into the destiny of the unknown.
The life of man is fleeting. He grows like a tender flower, only
To be cut down in his prime.

Chance is a game played by the inevitable forces of time.
A mystery of eternity. One act of the play of life.
The curtain rises and falls on life's drama. A short one act,
then the bow is taken. Slowly we exit, having experienced
the transitory joy of the moment.

We have lived, loved, been touched to tell, our short story of
our miniscule part in the game of time and chance. Then we
slowly fade from the bright lights of life's stage, to fade away
into the twilight of the sunset.

  1. Wonderful choice of words, I only hope I leave a good mark.
    Ecclesiastes 9:11
I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.
