There are in the course of human events ...yes, I know that part has already been quoted, by someone of greater stature than I. Please spare me as I capitalize on this basic foundation.
You see, human events are fortueitis events.
Let me illustrate; You are on the street and accidentally run, no ram into another person whom you don't know. They are loaded Down with packages. So you stop, help them up, help gather up all that was dropped and gradually you get into a conversation.
The two of you decide to continue getting acquainted over coffee. The conversation is good, the company is good and you have gained a new friend.
As time progresses, the friendship becomes a valued friendship. Friendship only! Then at some point in the relationship, you say something or do something totally outrageous that puts that relationship in jeapordy. How can you make it right?
You can apologize, ask forgiveness, promise to try and never let it happen again or just chalk it up to life's experience and go on. Personally, I am trying to make amends to all involved. Oh, I just made this little story about me. I guess I should watch that. Someone will think this fiction.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand...where was I? Oh yes, making amends. Making something right after totally doing things wrong to begin with is never an easy task. A great
Man said once, "It's easier for a rich man to enter a needles eye, than to get into heaven. In a similar way sometimes it's easier to runaway than to try and make a mistake right. But it is essential to try. And indeed we must try to make our amends for wrongs done and mistakes made.
It can be accomplished in two words..." Forgive me." Now your part, or I guess I should say my part is done. What will you do?
